If you want to gain weight and muscle, you need to be prepared to sacrifice much blood sweat and tears inside of the gym, the gym must become like your second home.  That’s how it goes in life, everything worth fighting for comes at a price and the price for a rock hard body is PAIN.  So if you’re looking to get swole, here are some tips to help you along:

1.    Form A Powerful Mind To Body Connection

This is often overlooked, but if you want to gain weight and muscle, work on focusing in on how your body reacts to lifting a weight.  Make sure that you are working that muscle to the fullest extent possible with that weight.  Learn to flex your muscle at the top of the movement to get more out of it, learn to have the main muscle group you’re working take the brunt of the weight rather than having your supporting muscle groups play too big a role.  All of this is developing the mind-body connection so you get the most out of your weight training sessions.

2.    Eat, Eat, EAT!

But don’t just eat anything.  If you want the majority of your gains to be muscle you’re going to have to eat the right foods and even if you eat the right foods, you can’t go overboard with them either.  Eat things like:  Oatmeal, yams, whole wheat bread, fruits, veggies, chicken, turkey, fish and nuts.

When you eat these things, eat about 500 or 1000 calories over your maintenance (maintenance = bodyweight x 15).
