Man, I can’t believe how many people do this. Some people have the misconception that using a light weight for more reps will get them ripped, this is a myth. The best way to get ripped is to lift HEAVY as it will force your body to retain it’s muscle mass during a caloric deficit. But for those who are looking to GAIN weight, I really don’t know why they do it.

If you seriously want to build muscle quick, you’re going to have to be willing to push yourself past this pain barrier. When you do reps, push yourself to absolute muscle failure. If you think you’re tired and done, take a few breaths and pump out another rep!

You’ve got to constantly be pushing yourself if you are to grow and grow quick, that is the trade off. If you want to grow quick, you have to be willing to put in the work to get those fast results and that means much more intense lifting sessions.
