So what’s the best way to gain muscle?  Is there even such a thing?  There are so many people with so many different ideas on what you need to do to get swole that it can be hard to figure out what you need to do for yourself!  You know what the solution is?  To take in as much as you can from everyone and go with what works for you and discard the rest.  But let me share with you some of the gems I’ve uncovered in that process which will be of help to you:

1.    Get Inspired!

I find the best way to gain muscle is to get inspired.  It might not be what you’re looking to hear, but the fact is, once you are in the right mindset, everything else flows.  I’ve gone through phases where I’m super pumped about getting big then phases where I stop caring, but I’ve noticed that those times when I watched Pumping Iron, or saw some vids of Jay Cutler or Lee Priest working out like an animal, I’ve gotten a sudden surge and desire to hit the gym HARD.

The more you inundate yourself with videos of pro bodybuilders going at it like animals, the more psyched up you get and the more you start getting the notion that “You know what, I’m going to do this, I don’t care how long it takes, I’m going to make that happen.”

2.    Get Angry!

Another key is to get angry.  Get pissed off with the way you currently are and take it out in the weight room!  Attack the weights and break your body down HARD!  Take out all your daily frustrations.  If you’re tired of being ignored by the girls, get PISSED, if you’re tired of being skinny and being the brunt of the jokes, GET PISSED…if you’re tired of being overweight and want to get diesel, get PISSED!  Results will follow once you got these two things down.
